Design & Optimization

Design & Optimization Curriculum (DOC): A Complete Wireless Engineering Training Program

Curriculum: Design and Optimization Curriculum (DOC) is a comprehensive training program for the core wireless engineering knowledge and skills required to design and optimize a 2G, 2.5G, or 3G, mobile or fixed wireless network in any technology. Its innovative, job-centered architecture includes three sub-curricula tied directly to the network engineering lifecycle, viz., DOC I covering D0/D1 (pre/initial design); DOC II, D2 (implementation); and DOC III, D3 (pre/post launch optimization). DOC combines the essential theory with the field know-how captured from over two decades of LCC’s worldwide design and deployment experience covering all major technologies.

Audience: DOC is aimed at RF engineers and technicians. We recommend:

  • The full program for those who plan, design/enhance, optimize, troubleshoot, or manage wireless networks.
  • Select courses–supplemented by equipment-specific training–for technical assistants, drive testers, and technicians.

Prerequisites: A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent preparation in communications, electromagnetics, Mathematics (such as differential equations, probability, and statistics), and the engineering design principles.
