We are currently looking for UMTS Optimization Engineers with the following background:

Prior UMTS optimization/performance experience Required.

In-depth understanding of the details surrounding:

• UMTS Radio Frequency (RF) network optimization,
• UMTS Tuning experience tools: MapInfo; Actix; TEMS; Agilent
• Familiarity with detailed analysis of layer three messaging in UMTS TEMS Investigation
• Troubleshooting IRAT in data collection tool
• Ability to create TABS and do queries in MapInfo
• Ability in making recommendations in parameter changes, feature activations on drive test data to improve the system performance.
• Familiarity with operating Actix and doing analysis in Actix
• Ability to collect and analyze drive data and performance statistics, and solve complex issues
• Understands the relationships between Soft/softer handovers and network capacity
• Detailed knowledge of Ericsson OSS and how to operate the optimizations tools
• Detailed knowledge of KPI and ability to make recommendation to improve them
• Knowledge on how IRAT procedures can affect the overall service quality both for PS and CS traffic

Experience Requirement:

• Minimum six (6) years of RF experience. 
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent experience in radio network design, implementation and tuning/optimization on WCDMA systems.
• At least one year with Ericsson system. 
• Team lead in at least two UMTS projects.

Education required (minimum): BSEE                                                           

Education desired: MSEE/MBA
